There are massive protests outside the High Commission of Bangladesh in New Delhi as communities are still reeling from the brutal murder of a Hindu, Dipu Chandra Das, at the hands of an Islamic mob in Mymensingh in Bangladesh last week. This comes as communities are protesting against the alleged atrocities that Hindus are facing in the neighboring country, as well as the vandalism of Hindu religious sites.
The protestors fought back against the police and destroyed barricades in their demand for Bangladeshi government accountability, with many of them demanding justice and protection for minorities.

The situation escalated when a large crowd of protestors forced their way through the security barriers. The crowd was shouting “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”, “Yunus Sarkar Hosh me Aao”, and “Hindu Hatiya Band Karo”. As per reports, the protestors were able to force their way through at least two barriers.

“I’ll also be a Dipu, and you’ll also be a Dipu if we don’t raise our voice today,” said a protester.

Another commented: “Hindus are being killed (in Bangladesh). This (India) is the land of Ram and Krishna. We don’t kill anyone, but our sisters and daughters are raped there.”

Some of the demonstrators were seen waving banners and placards and chanting slogans demanding justice for Dipu Das. The protestors also burned effigies of the Bangladesh interim chief, Muhammad Yunus.
