Explosions Rock Venezuela’s Caracas, Trump Says President Maduro and Wife Captured and Flown Out of the Country

The incidents come amid heightened tensions after US President Donald Trump signaled the possibility of ground strikes against Venezuela.

In the recent development of the Venezuela air strike, US President Donald Trump has claimed the capturing of Venezuelan President President Nicolas Maduro” and his wife.

The United States has successfully conducted a large-scale strike against Venezuela and its leader, President Nicolas Maduro, who, along with his wife, has been captured and flown out of the country.

Venezuela’s capital Caracas experienced several blast early morning on Saturday. A Reuters report claimed that witnesses reported loud sounds heard in various parts of the city, additionally a power cut was also carried in the southern part of the city, which is located near a military base.

According to several reports, the blasts occurred in quick successions. The first blast was recorded around 1:50am, according to the local time. ‘One of the blast was so strong, it shook the windows,’ CNN correspondent Osamari said.

These explosions come at a time when the US President had repeatedly warned of commencing an attack on the country due to the drug trafficking network rampant in the country.

Trump had also ordered CIA to operate inside Venezuela

In October 2025, Trump gave an authorization to CIA of the US to continue its operations in Venezuela. As per US President Trump, these operations were necessary to limit the flow of illegal immigrants and drug trafficking.

However, on Friday, the Venezuelan government had claimed that it had been negotiating an agreement with the US to combat the drug trafficking problem.
