Nitish Kumar Becomes Bihar Chief Minister for 10th Time, Governor Administers Oath in Presence of Prime Minister

At a grand ceremony in Patna’s Gandhi Maidan, Nitish Kumar was sworn in as Bihar Chief Minister for the 10th time in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and several BJP Chief Ministers, with the new cabinet reflecting a strong mix of experienced leaders, young faces and broad social representation.

Patna, November 20: Nitish Kumar took oath as Chief Minister for the 10th time on Thursday at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Chief Ministers of several BJP-ruled states. Governor Arif Mohammad Khan administered the oath of office and secrecy to him. Along with Nitish Kumar, Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) quota also took the oath of office and secrecy.

Among the ministers sworn in to Nitish’s cabinet today, Shreyasi Singh, who won from the Jamui Assembly seat, is included among the young faces from the BJP. Additionally, Rama Nishad has also been given a place in the cabinet, who won the election from the Arai Assembly seat this time. Both of them took oath as ministers for the first time.

Samrat Chaudhary, Vijay Kumar Sinha, Vijay Chaudhary, Vijay Prasad Yadav, Shravan Kumar, Mangal Pandey, Dr. Dilip Jaiswal, Ashok Chaudhary, Lesi Singh, Madan Sahni, Nitin Navin, Ramkripal Yadav, Santosh Kumar Suman, Sunil Kumar, Mohammad Jama Khan, Sanjay Singh Tiger, Arun Shankar Prasad, Surendra Mehta, Narayan Prasad, Rama Nishad, Lakhendra Kumar Roshan, Shreyasi Singh, Pramod Kumar, Sanjay Kumar, Sanjay Kumar Singh, and Deepak Prakash.

In Nitish’s cabinet, which is adorned with experienced and young leaders, leaders like Mangal Pandey, Nitin Navin, Ashok Chaudhary, and Shravan Kumar have previously handled different departments. On the other hand, young faces like Shreyasi Singh, Deepak Prakash, Lakhendra Kumar Roshan, and Rama Nishad are also included.

At the swearing-in ceremony, Maithili Thakur, MP and singer Manoj Tiwari, and Bhojpuri star Pawan Singh gave their performances, compelling the crowd to dance.

The new list clearly shows an attempt to give representation to all major castes and regions. Leaders from Dalit, extremely backward classes, backward classes, women, and minority communities have been given adequate space in the cabinet. The inclusion of women leaders like Shreyasi Singh, Rama Nishad, and Lesi Singh demonstrates the NDA’s commitment to women’s empowerment. Similarly, the inclusion of a minority face like Mohammad Jama Khan underlines the BJP-JDU government’s efforts toward social balance.
