Kranti Goud made Madhya Pradesh proud by playing a key role in India’s victory at the 2025 Women’s Cricket World Cup. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav praised the Indian women’s cricket team for making the nation proud and said that the team has raised India’s flag high across the world. He expressed special pride that Kranti Goud, a fast bowler from Ghuwara in Chhatarpur district, contributed significantly to this historic win.

Dr. Yadav appreciated Kranti Goud for achieving success despite facing many challenges like limited resources and tough circumstances. He said her dedication, focus and hard work have made her an inspiration for every young athlete in the country.

Kranti Goud to Be Honoured on Birsa Munda Jayanti

Dr. Yadav announced that Kranti Goud will be honoured at a state-level event in Jabalpur on November 15, which marks the birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda. He also declared that a new cricket stadium will be built in Chhatarpur, so that players from the region can practice in better facilities.

He further added that if an appeal is made for the reinstatement of Kranti’s father, the government will take action according to the rules.

Felicitation Ceremony Held at Chief Minister’s Residence

A special felicitation ceremony was organised at the Chief Minister’s residence to honour Kranti Goud. Dr. Yadav welcomed her with a bouquet of flowers and extended greetings to her parents, Mr. Munna Singh Goud and Mrs. Neelam Singh Goud, and her coach Mr. Rajiv Birthare by presenting them with Angavastram, flowers and mementos.

The event was attended by Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Vishwas Sarang, MLA Bhagwandas Sabnani, and several young girls from the Madhya Pradesh Sports Academy.

Kranti Goud Shares Her Journey with Young Athletes

During the ceremony, Kranti Goud interacted with the girls from the Sports Academy and spoke about her journey, struggles, and fitness routine. She told them that success requires constant effort and commitment towards one’s goals. Kranti encouraged the young girls to stay focused and never give up despite challenges.

She also spoke about the importance of fitness and dietary discipline, sharing that she completely stopped eating sweets to maintain her fitness and improve her performance.

Coach Rajiv Birthare Highlights Fitness as the Key to Kranti’s Success

Kranti’s coach Mr. Rajiv Birthare said that her fitness was given special attention from the beginning. Because of her disciplined lifestyle and regular practice, she never faced fitness issues even during international tournaments. He explained that her ability to recover quickly from injuries and perform consistently was due to her strict routine of yoga, exercise, and healthy eating.

He motivated the girls from the Sports Academy to follow a similar routine of discipline, yoga and fitness for a successful career in sports.

Chief Minister Encourages Girls to Focus on Fitness and Yoga

Dr. Mohan Yadav advised the girls to practice yoga and meditation regularly, saying that these habits help improve both physical fitness and concentration. He told them that these qualities are essential not just in sports but in leading a balanced and better life.

When asked about his childhood, Dr. Yadav recalled his early days in Ujjain, where he often went swimming in the Kshipra River with his mother and enjoyed playing hockey.

The event concluded with words of pride and encouragement from the Chief Minister, who said that Kranti Goud’s success has brought honour to Madhya Pradesh and inspired countless young athletes across the nation.
