President Donald Trump used the opportunity of Christmas Eve to launch an attack on opposition Democrats in the United States, labeling them “radical left scum” before wishing them a merry Christmas.
The Republican was spreading Christmas cheer from his Florida estate of Mar-A-Lago on the day before Christmas. He took part in Santa tracker calls and wished Christmas greetings to American troops all over the world.
Trump did not exude that same bonhomie with rival Democrats.
“MerryChristmas to all! And to all the Radical Left Scum that are attempting to Destroy our Country, but are frankly Just Not Very Good at it,” Donald Trump wrote on his Truth Social site.
“We no longer have Open Borders, Men in Women’s Sports, Transgender for Everyone, or Weak Law Enforcement. What we do have is A Record Stock Market and 401K’s, Lowest Crime levels in decades, No Inflation, and yesterday, a 4.3 GDP, two points better than expected,” he said.
Trump launched a series of attacks at the opposition party, which has been criticizing the Trump administration on issues concerning the cost of living issues just a day after the Commerce Department reported that the GDP grew at a pace of 4.3 percent.
However, the index also revealed that the price index for domestic purchasing showed an increase of 3.4 percent, which is a high level of inflation compared with 2.0 percent during the second quarter. The Democrats had criticized the Justice Department in the week leading up to Christmas for releasing thousands of documents very slowly, redacting most of them, from the inquiry into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who was previously a friend of Trump. Trump also extended his greetings to military personnel around the world, including those who are part of a large US military deployment to waters in the Caribbean, where it is waging a campaign against Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro to step down.
