Mumbai: Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat is an intense and romantic drama that explores the dark side of love and obsession. Directed by Milap Zaveri, the film brings together Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa.
The movie follows Vikramaditya Bhosle, the character by Harshvardhan Rane whose life takes a different turn after he encounters Adaa Randhawa, the character by Sonam Bajwa. What initially appeared as attraction later on becomes obsession as Adaa denies him. Vikramaditya refusing to accept no as an answer spirals into a dangerous ride of egos, insanity and destruction.
Film critic Taran Adarsh regards Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat as a good and romantic love story with great performance and emotional music, which he adores as the way Milap Zaveri manages to combine love, pain and obsession in a thrilling storyline. The first half is slightly clogged, but the break, dramatic emotional storyline and smash hits such as Bol Kaffara and Dil Dil Dil improve the general experience. Raw, intense performance is done by Harshvardhan Rane and graceful performance is played by Sonam Bajwa.
Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat Twitter Reviews Show Divided Netizen Reaction
Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat starring Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa has caused a Twitter (now X) frenzy of both positive and negative reviews. Some users are on one hand applauding the movie because of its emotional nature and richness and on the other hand, many view it as being too dramatic and exaggerated.
One of the users gave it a five-star rating and wrote that it was the BEST FILM of 2025 with the outstanding emotional acting of Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa. The second reaction was a glorifying commentary upon the good music in the movie, and praising it as a Harsh comeback, though feeling that it was a sluggish movie occasionally, rated it at 3.25/5. But not all the people considered the movie in the same light. A small number of viewers would mock that the movie was 1000 episodes in 2 hours. Certain aspects, such as the introduction 10-15 minutes and a particular song by Sonam Bajwa were described as absolutely over the top and cringe dialogues.
In the end, the netizen judgment is split in half. The dominant theme of pain and obsession is finding its way to fans, and some perceived overacting and melodrama is finding its way to skeptics. High-voltage drama can be anticipated of potential viewers, and one must be ready to be hit with what some are calling an overdose of melodrama.
