Mumbai: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan rang in a major milestone as he turned 60 on December 27, choosing warmth and simplicity over grand spectacle. As the actor traditionally did, he marked his birthday in his farmhouse at Panvel in the presence of his immediate family and known friends. While the main celebrations remained private, Salman ensured that the media waiting outside did not go home disappointed.
Salman Khan celebrates birthday with paparazzi


Salman, before midnight celebrations, left his farmhouse under tight security to meet the paparazzi who were outside. In a gesture that instantly won hearts, the actor cut a red and white birthday cake with the photographers as they sang the birthday song for him. Wearing casual clothes of T shirt and blue jeans, Salman had a clean shaven look, which created an immediate buzz on the Internet.
The actor himself offered pieces of the cake to the photographers and smiled at pictures after cutting the cake. Overwhelming cheers erupted in a moment where Salman embraced one of the media women with a side hug, as well as hugging a senior journalist with heartfelt affection. The actor was calm, cheerful and relaxed, making them precondition a no frills but a memorable birthday celebration.
A personal celebration with family and close friends
At midnight, the Panvel farmhouse saw a number of guests coming in, including the father of Salman, Salim Khan, and actor Huma Qureshi. The gathering remained intimate, reflecting Salman’s preference for privacy over extravagance on personal occasions.
On top of the citywide celebrations, the Bandra Worli Sea Link was lit in Salman Khan honour turning the legendary landmark of Mumbai into a glowing dedication to one of the most iconic stars of Hindi cinema.
New phase at 60 and Battle of Galwan ahead
Salman’s birthday appearance also doubled up as the first reveal of his new look for Apoorva Lakhia’s upcoming film Battle of Galwan. The actor was clean shaven, fit, confident, and composed, suggesting a new stage of his career.

Battle of Galwan is based on the 2020 Galwan Valley clash between Indian and Chinese troops, which took place on June 16, 2020. The battle led to the martyrdom of 20 army men of the Indians and the Chinese too is reported to have had a huge loss of lives. The movie will reveal a serious and intense side of Salman Khan, a deviation to the larger than life screen image.
As Salman Khan steps into his 60s, his birthday celebrations reflected exactly what he stands for: quiet strength, deep bonds, and an unwavering connection with his fans and the media. Age, clearly, is just another number for Bollywood’s Bhaijaan.
