Mumbai: Hrithik Roshan may be away from the big screen for now, but the actor is fully focused on shaping a powerful new story behind the scenes. His debut web series as a producer, which has a provisional title Storm, has already been put on the floor, generating a buzz in the streaming industry.
With Hrithik Roshan supporting it through his HRX Films production house, Storm is a significant move by the superstar as he stretches his creative tentacles out of acting. According to sources, the shooting is currently in full swing and is progressing at a steady pace.
Ajitpal Singh targets February completion
The high stakes thriller is being directed, written, and created by Ajitpal Singh, best known for his acclaimed series Tabbar released in 2021. According to insiders, Storm is being filmed in a much starts to finish schedule, and the crew wants the movie finished in February.
The series is located in Mumbai and is anticipated to be a dramatic account based on ambition, secrets, and survival. The makers have reportedly spent over three years developing the script before taking the project on floors, ensuring a strong and layered storyline.
Hrithik Roshan’s hands on involvement
What makes Storm even more interesting is Hrithik Roshan’s deep involvement during the scripting and pre production stage. It is said that Hrithik and Ajitpal Singh took a lot of time discussing ideas and developing the show together.
Hrithik was particularly impressed by Ajitpal’s work in Tabbar and is confident that the filmmaker will bring a unique mix of style, substance, and emotional depth to the series. He is said to be extremely excited about the script and the world the show explores.
Strong ensemble and Prime Video backing
Storm was officially announced by Prime Video in October last year as an upcoming Original drama series. Hrithik Roshan and Eshaan Roshan produce the show as HRX Films, a unit of FilmKraft Productions, the first of many collaborations to be developed between HRX Films and Prime Video.
The series features a strong ensemble cast led by Parvathy Thiruvothu, Alaya F, Srishti Shrivastava, Rrama Sharma, and Saba Azad in a key role. Ashish Vidyarthi and Rajit Kapur, are also a part of the cast, which makes the project even more three-dimensional. Ajitpal Singh and Francois Lunel and Swati Das have written the story, which is likely to shine some light on strong women in a case of high pressure.
Hrithik Roshan’s Work Front
On the acting front, Hrithik Roshan was last seen in War 2, continuing his run in large scale action cinema. He also has a special cameo in Alpha, the next spy thriller featuring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari, which belongs to Aditya Chopra YRF Spy Universe.
As Storm picks up now and a wrap of February approaches, the hopes are that the series will become a powerful and fashionable contribution to the quality streaming content in India.
