A leader of the youth wing of the party of Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, named the Pakistan Muslim League, or PML, made a threat to India on Tuesday, stating that if any kind of attack takes place on Bangladesh, the military of Pakistan, along with its missiles, would react. This statement has been made by Kamran Saeed Usmani of the PML.

“If Bangladesh’s autonomy is attacked by India, if anybody wants to cast an ill eye upon Bangladesh, then they should know that the people of Pakistan, the Pakistani military, and our missiles are not far off,” he said.
“The defense minister, Usmani, added that neither would the Pakistani government “tolerate the efforts of the so-called opposition forces of Bangladesh” in attempting what he called the “intrusion of the Akhand
Usmani said in a video message that Pakistan does not recognize Bangladesh being cornered into “India’s ideological dominance.” Usmani stated that Pakistan will react strongly against India if it attacks Bangladesh or lays an evil eye on Bangladesh’s independence.

Usmani added that Pakistan had previously put India in a very difficult spot and would not hesitate to do so in the future, should the need arise. He painted a strategic picture where Pakistan would strike from the west side, Bangladesh would strike from the east side, and China’s attention would remain focused on Arunachal Pradesh and Ladakh.
In another video, Usmani pressed even further his claims regarding a military partnership between Pakistan and Bangladesh. The reason, according to Usmani, was that Bangladesh was “disturbed” by India’s Border Security Force and that India was attempting to break down the country of Bangladesh according to the “Akhand Bharat ideology” because India wants a “Hindu State.”

“Our proposal will be that there should be a military alliance between Pakistan and Bangladesh – Pakistan should establish its military base in Bangladesh, and Bangladesh should establish its military base in Pakistan,” he said. Usmani recommended that Pakistan and Bangladesh should permit the establishment of military bases on their respective soils by each other. According to Usmani, joint strategic control through the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and ports of Bangladesh will be achieved. “Those who control the ports and the seas control the world,” Usmani said, emphasizing the impact a military alliance between Pakistan and Bangladesh would create in the region.
