New Delhi: A special court on Friday has extended the custody of the two accused in the deadly Red Fort Delhi blast. The two major suspects were investigated by the National Intelligence Agency as it continues to dig more in the case suspecting connection with the bigger conspiracy.
Additional Sessions Judge Prashant Sharma granted 10 more days to the NIA of the custody of Yasir Ahmed, one of the prime suspects, while allowing the agency to further investigate Dr. Bilal Naseer Malla.
The court accepted the prosecution submission that suggested that further custodial investigation is very important in the case to reach the absolute roots of the blast.
According to the NIA, the blast outside Red Fort that claimed the lives of 15 people was planned by Umar-un-Nabi, who the driving the explosive-laden car. Umar later died in explosion, a forensic examination confirmed.
