Indore, on Thursday reported almost 15 deaths due to consumption of contaminated water in city’s Bhagirathipura area, Gandhi Medical College confirmed in its medical lab reports. Urban Administration Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya admits the Bhagirathpura water crisis has worsened due to sewage mixing with drinking water, pointing to a suspected leakage near the outpost.
Meanwhile, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) takes cognisance and issues a notice to the Madhya Pradesh Chief Secretary, seeking a detailed report within two weeks.
