Mumbai: Sanjay Leela Bhansali is known for creating visually rich and emotionally powerful cinema that leaves a lasting impact. The next big idea that he has is Love And War, which is already generating hype as monumental, primarily because of its dream cast that sees Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal working together on the same project.
In the recent past, there were reports that the movie had gone off the track, as the budget of the movie had gone out of proportion to an astounding Rs 425 crore, and this gave the film a dark cloud of production issues. But the truth has been cleared up by trusted sources near the project giving the actual budget and the actual status of the film.
Real Budget and Production Status Revealed
According to insiders, Love And War is progressing smoothly and remains firmly on track. Although the film cost has gone up in comparison with the initial plan, the numbers being passed online are reported to be very inflated. The film was initially staged on a budget of Rs 250 crore which is now expanded to Rs 350 crore with Bhansali relentless vision and mass grand scale production design.
Sources clarify that Bhansali is deeply invested in making Love And War one of his finest works and is sparing no effort to achieve perfection. In contrast to the heavy VFX-based projects, in this movie, most of the filming is on grandiose sets that recreate a past era, and, by industry standards, this is no reason to charge such huge Rs 425 crore figure that is being floated around.
The makers are also planning to spend an additional Rs 30 crore on marketing and promotions, taking the total landing cost of the film to approximately Rs 380 crore. Insiders strongly dismiss the higher budget rumours, calling them misleading and intended to create unnecessary panic around the project.
New Release Plan and Shooting Timeline
According to the most recent update, Love And War will be released in theaters in 2027, in its strategic position between the two sections of the future mythological epic Ramayana. The shooting will be completed in June and the film will then enter into a comprehensive post production.
It has an all-star cast, an epic narrative, and the visual genius of Bhansali, making Love And War one of the highly anticipated Hindi films in the years. The project is proving to be a well-organized and consistent development despite rumours and speculation and is on track of delivering a cinematic spectacle befitting its size and scope.
