Hyderabad: The wait is finally over, with the much-hyped action thriller Spirit starring Prabhas has officially started shooting. The journey started today with a beautiful muhurat puja, making the event a grand celebration. Everyone was excited and blessed as the cast and team assembled to kick off the project. After several months of wait, fans were excited that the film has finally rolled on floors.
Spirit Officially Goes on Floor
When Megastar Chiranjeevi came as the chief guest, the ceremony was even more special. He performed the traditional first clap, marking the beginning of the shoot. Prabhas was present too, but the makers were very cautious not to expose his appearance in the film. They did not show any single photos of him and he became even more mysterious. But a single image of Prabhas, handshaking with Chiranjeevi, trended immediately and created huge fan buzz.
Triptii Dimri Steals the Spotlight
Actress Triptii Dimri also made headlines at the event. During the puja, she posed with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga and producer Bhushan Kumar. It is her second project with Vanga following the success of Animal. The fact that she is paired with Prabhas has already been a topic of discussion among the fans and the new photos of the ceremony have only raised further questions.
The comments section was over excited soon after the pictures were shared. There were countless remarks that they are looking forward to how Sandeep Reddy Vanga is going to depict Prabhas in Spirit. What the Story of Spirit Promises
Spirit is forming itself into a high-energy action thriller. Prabhas is a disgraced IPS officer who was once a high performer at the academy and after being fired due to misconduct, ends up in jail. The teaser that had been released previously featured a tense conversation between him and a no-nonsense jail superintendent by Prakash Raj.
Prabhas gives a very chilling line in the teaser, when he says, Since childhood, I have one bad habit, and this was the first thing that made one wonder about his character. The main plot is the story of the fallen officer who decides to eliminate an international crime syndicate. The movie follows his rough rise to recovery his honour and to make himself valued, which is full of emotions and action as it is bound to be in the style of Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
The film stars Triptii Dimri as the female lead, marking one of her biggest projects yet. Actors Vivek Oberoi and Prakash Raj also play important roles, adding more weight to the cast. Spirit is being made on a massive scale by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures. The team will shoot across multiple locations in India and abroad, aiming for a true pan-world cinematic experience. The makers also plan to release the film in several Indian languages along with Mandarin, Japanese and Korean, signalling how global the project is set to be.
While the makers have not confirmed the exact release date, Spirit is expected to hit theatres in 2026. With the shoot now officially underway, fans can look forward to more updates in the coming months, especially the long-awaited reveal of Prabhas’ look, which remains a closely guarded secret.
