Mumbai: After the success of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, director Anees Bazmee is ready to launch a new drama, titeled Ram Aur Shyam. Anees Bazmee is known for his blockbuster entertainers such as No Entry (2005), Welcome (2007), and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022) and is currently preparing to rebrand the classic twin-identity concept to a fresh generation.

Trade buzz indicates that Ram Aur Shyam is in its final phases of production. Although the title is a reminder to the audience of the 1967 Dilip Kumar classic, it has been made clear by sources close to the project that the version by Anees Bazmee is not a remake, but a new and modern twist to the subject of dual identities. Mid Day states that the movie shall enter the floors in early 2026, with Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and Kartik Aaryan being the top contenders for the dual role.

No Entry Mein Entry’ Faces Backlash

As the hype surrounding Ram Aur Shyam is still mounting, the much-hyped sequel No Entry Mein Entry by Anees Bazmee is reported to have reached a significant setback. The Punjabi singer-actor, Diljit Dosanjh, has not left the project because of creative differences but because of scheduling issues as Mid Day has confirmed.

Diljit had previously been paired with Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor in a Boney Kapoor production comedy. His departure has however resulted in a casting reshuffle of the film as Varun Dhawan’s dates are now blocked for Bhediya 2. One of the sources informed that although Arjun Kapoor is still in the movie, the producers are looking into new options to keep the project on schedule.

As No Entry Mein Entry continues to face delays, Anees Bazmee seems to be taking Ram Aur Shyam as his next directorial venture to keep him busy since he has been planning to make the movie long before the release of No Entry Mein Entry.

Ranbir, Ranveer and Kartik: Busy Work Fronts Ahead.

Ranbir Kapoor is currently filming Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana in which he stars as lord Ram with Sai Pallavi and Yash as the Raavan. He will also be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love and War with Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, along with the sequel to Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal.

In the meantime, Ranveer Singh is gearing up to one of the largest releases of 2025, namely, Dhurandar, which will be released in theatres on December 6.

Kartik Aaryan will next be seen with Ananya Panday in Tu Meri Main Tera, followed by a musical romantic drama with Sreeleela directed by Anurag Basu. Kartik also has upcoming collaboration with renowned filmmakers Shimit Amin and Vishnuvardhan.
