Mumbai: Ananya Panday is set to reprise her role as the stylish and full of life Bae in the highly anticipated second season of Call Me Bae. Produced by Dharma Productions and Dharmatic Entertainment, the series first premiered on Amazon Prime Video in September 2024 and received massive response from the audience.
The second season will go on the floors by end November 2025 according to a Mid-Day report. Call Me Bae is among the biggest hits of both Prime Video India and Dharmatic Entertainment. The second season prep had already started shortly after the debut of the show last year. The cast will face the camera in a couple of weeks.
The insider also informed that the creative team is to develop upon the themes that resonated with the viewers in Season 1. The idea of the #Behencode was an effective idea among the female audience, and it is something that the makers want to explore further. A #MeToo song also appeared in the first episode, with the next one again creating a stronger message, this time with more humour and feeling.
The director of the first season of Call Me Bae, director Collin D’Cunha, will likely rejoin the directorial chair. Most of the original cast including Gurfateh Pirzada, Vihaan Samat, Muskkan Jaferi and Niharika Lyra Dutt are expected to reprise their roles. Season 2 will still touch on the theme of sisterhood, which is one of the most popular themes in the first season, though in a lighter tone.
