Mumbai: All eyes are on Ram Charan as excitement builds around his upcoming film Peddi. The sports action drama is already generating strong buzz, and now reports suggest that fans might get their first big glimpse very soon.

The makers have opted to release the teaser of the film on March 27, 2026, the same day that the actor celebrates his 41st birthday. Particularly, the teaser is reportedly called Kusthi and is going to explore the world of the film and its tonal aspect more thoroughly. But it is not yet confirmed officially leaving the fans at the edge of their seats in anticipation.

A rural sports drama with a strong ensemble

Peddi is said to be set against the backdrop of a cricket tournament in a rural setting, promising a mix of action, emotion and grounded storytelling. Alongside Ram Charan, the film features a diverse cast including Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Divyendu Sharma, Jagapathi Babu and Boman Irani.

Previously, the makers unveiled the character of Janhvi Kapoor, named Achiyamma, a village young lady and seem to be spirited and lively. Her appearance and personality give some indication of an invigorating presence in the movie. Buchi Babu Sana writes and directs the project and is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru and Ishan Saksena under Vriddhi Cinemas and IVY Entertainment.

Music has been a major aspect of the movie with the legendary composer A. R. Rahman involved. The second single released recently called Rai Rai Raa Raa Raa has already gained attention because of its high energy feel wherein Ram Charan performs the dance moves with Rahman singing in both Telugu and Tamil.

Release date and Ram Charan’s upcoming films

Peddi is slated to hit theatres on April 30, 2026, and is expected to be one of the major releases of the summer.

Meanwhile, Ram Charan was last seen in Game Changer, directed by S. Shankar. The political drama revolved around an honest IAS officer taking on corruption but received a mixed response from critics and audiences. The film also starred Kiara Advani, S. J. Suryah, Anjali, Meka Srikanth and Jayaram, and is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

In the future, the actor will also join forces with Sukumar in a project provisionally known as RC17. It is their first film together since the blockbuster Rangasthalam, which has increased the hopes of the fans. As Peddi prepares to release and possibly have a teaser on his birthday, Ram Charan appears to be back to the big screen in a strong new look.
