Mumbai: The global release of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups, starring Yash, has been officially postponed. The film, which was earlier scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, will now release worldwide on June 4, 2026. The makers made this choice because of the current war and consequent instabilities in the Middle East which is a very important foreign market to the film.

Yash announced it on Wednesday, March 4, with a detailed statement issued on behalf of his production house and KVN Productions. The statement clarified that the uncertainty that prevails in the Middle East has influenced their strategy of reaching out to people in all the territories of the world.

Overseas Market Concerns Behind the Delay

The postponement comes amid escalating tensions in West Asia. Recent hostilities include strikes by the United States and Israel on Iran, followed by missile retaliation by Tehran targeting Israel and US positions in the region. This situation has disrupted cinema operations across the Gulf, making a smooth release difficult.

Phars Films, which is one of the main distributors of the film, recommended that the makers should revisit the date of release. Following a close observation of the dynamic changes in the region, the producers have rescheduled the movie in the best interest of foreign business associates and future box office performance.

Promotions Paused Despite Trailer Plans

The decision also affected the film’s promotional calendar. The team was planning a big launch of trailers on March 8 in Bangalore, and media was expected throughout the country. Moreover, the first single named Tabaahi was about to be released on March 2. Nevertheless, the makers decided to discontinue the music video and to stop promotions at least temporarily in view of the circumstances.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas and co-written by Yash, Toxic has been filmed in both English and Kannada. The makers have positioned it as a global story meant to connect with audiences in India and abroad.

Star Cast and New Release Date

The action drama has an ensemble cast with Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth and Tara Sutaria playing key roles. KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations are the co-producers of the film.

Thanking fans for their patience, the makers assured that the decision was taken with care and responsibility. Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups is now locked for a worldwide theatrical release on June 4, 2026.
