Mumbai: Kartik Aaryan may have faced a box office setback with Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri (2025), but it has clearly not slowed him down. The actor continues to attract fresh and exciting scripts, and his next potential project could be one of his most ambitious yet. Sources say that Kartik is already in the advanced talks with Kill (2024) director Nikhil Nagesh Bhat to do a big scale mythological action adventure.
A Unique Mythological Action Film in the Making
The upcoming project is said to be rooted in Indian mythology while being designed as a full fledged action adventure entertainer. Kartik Aaryan is said to be quite interested in the topic because it has a commercial potential and an original story. Both urban audiences and the mass belt are supposed to associate, and the story is a unique blend of scale and emotion.
Kartik was especially impressed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat’s work in Kill, which received strong appreciation for its intense storytelling. He feels that the film maker is a person of vision and regards him as a director with a bright future in the industry. Talks between the actor and the director are at an advanced stage, and if everything aligns, the film could be officially signed soon.

Kartik Aaryan’s Work Front
While this mythological action film is still in the discussion phase, Kartik Aaryan already has two major releases lined up for 2026. One of them is Naagzilla, where he plays a shape shifting nag. It is a comic caper movie directed by Fukrey’s director, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba and produced by Dharma Productions and Mahaveer Jain Films. Ravi Kishan will be perceived as the villain, which will also help to spin a good twist to the story, and Sreeleela is said to be the female protagonist.
Kartik will also be seen in an untitled musical saga directed by Anurag Basu and produced by T Series. Sreeleela stars opposite him in this film as well, marking their second collaboration in the same year.
