Another Student Leader Shot in Head in Bangladesh Just 2 Days After Osman Hadi’s Death

Only two days have passed since the funeral of Osman Hadi in Dhaka. A student leader has just been critically shot in the head in the Khulna division of Bangladesh.

Motaleb Sikder, the Khulna divisional chief of National Citizen Party (NCP) & Central Organizer, Shramik Shakti, was shot around 11:45 am on Monday, December 22, in full public view in Sonadanga, Khulna city.

He was taken to Khulna Medical College Hospital in a critical condition.

As per the police and local reports, the 37-year-old leader was shot at by some miscreants, and he was rescued by onlookers and initially followed to the Khulna Medical College Hospital.

After that, he was transferred to the Sheikhpara City Imaging Center for the CT scan operation on his head. Now, his residence is at the Pallimongal School area, under the Sonadanga Police Station.

The locals managed to rescue him and rushed him to a hospital, while police later responded to the area. The police have started operations in the different areas to arrest the suspects involved, and investigations are ongoing to establish the reason for the attack.
