Mumbai: Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar has gained cross-border fans, and the recent one to add to the list is global pop star Nick Jonas. The singer and actor have recently posted a light-hearted dance video on Instagram, and it turns out that one of the songs by Dhurandhar has become his new pre show hype song.
Nick Jonas Dances to Dhurandhar’s ‘Shararat’
On Friday, Nick took to Instagram to post a lively clip of himself grooving to ‘Shararat’, one of the most popular songs from Dhurandhar. His brothers Kevin Jonas and Joe Jonas were featured in the video alongside his close friends who were enjoying the peppy Bollywood number together. Posting the clip, Nick wrote, “New pre show hype song unlocked,” immediately catching everyone’s eye on the Internet.
Nick’s growing love for Bollywood music has been evident ever since his marriage to Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and this latest post only strengthened that connection. His effortless moves and visible joy while dancing to a Hindi song got the Indian fans impressed.
Fans Call Him ‘National Jiju’
The comments section quickly turned into a celebration. The fans would rush to the post with punning comments referring to Nick as National Jiju and telling him that now he needs an Aadhaar card. He took the Indian pop culture deep into his heart and lived in the present which was applauded by many.
The video even got reaction by Aditya Dhar, the director of Dhurandhar. Clearly impressed, he commented, “Okay… this just made my day,” adding to the excitement around the viral moment.
About the Song ‘Shararat’
Shararat features Madhubanti Bagchi and Jasmine Sandlas singing, and is composed by Shashwat Sachdev. The energetic track is picturised on Ayesha Khan and Krystle D’Souza and has emerged as one of the standout songs from the film’s soundtrack, widely loved for its catchy beats and dance friendly vibe.
Nick’s Bollywood Playlist Is Growing
Interestingly, this is not the first occasion on which Nick Jonas had expressed his love of Hindi film music. Earlier, he revealed that ‘Aavan Jaavan’ from War 2, featuring Hrithik Roshan and Kiara Advani, is his regular pre show hype song during tours. That video also received massive love from Indian fans.
Jonas Brothers and Their Upcoming Tour
Nick is part of the globally popular Jonas Brothers band, along with Kevin and Joe. The three became famous during the mid 2000s as their albums went to number one and their Disney Channel fan base was huge and they also produced movies such as Camp Rock. They reunited in 2019 after breaking up in 2013 because of creative differences. The brothers are currently preparing their Jonas20: Greetings from Your Hometown Tour, which is their 20th anniversary. This tour will start in New Jersey in August and end in New York in December.
