Mumbai: Fresh off a quiet honeymoon and newly married bliss, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has wasted no time getting back to work. The actress has flown directly to Hyderabad to start shooting her next production Mam Inti Bangaram and December is proving to be one of the most physically challenging months of her life.
Samantha is also known due to her commitment and hard work and she is presently in high action mode. Throughout the month, she will be shooting dangerous stunt scenes which are being billed as some of the most arduous action scenes that have ever been tried on a female lead in Indian cinema. The actress herself has admitted that this phase is pushing her limits like never before.
Samantha on filming back to back action scenes
Talking about the rigorous schedule, Samantha revealed that the pressure is high due to the limited availability of international stunt choreographer Lee Whittaker. She has told her that Whittaker is only spending a month in India and all the action scene has to be shot in that period. With Hyderabad experiencing chilly weather, the challenge has doubled.
Samantha said that she has to work extra hard to keep her reflexes sharp in the cold conditions. She also mentioned that it would be the most physically challenging month of her life and jokingly called it an achewalk and not a cakewalk and asked her fans to wish her good luck.
High profile stunt team adds to the challenge
Lee Whittaker is a world renowned stunt coordinator serving in numerous other films in India, including Kamal Haasan in Vishwaroopam and Rajinikanth in Lingaa. His involvement has raised expectations around the scale and intensity of the action sequences in Maa Inti Bangaram.
While Samantha has already proven her action credentials in the past, this project is set to take things several notches higher.
From The Family Man to her toughest role yet
Samantha had previously done serious stunts in the Family Man 2 and Citadel: Honey Bunny, both of which were directed by her husband Raj Nidimoru. She said, however, that it now seems like comparative easy going in comparison to the physical requirements of her present shoot.
With Maa Inti Bangaram, Samantha is clearly aiming to redefine the boundaries of female led action in Indian cinema, both as an actor and as a producer.
First public appearance after wedding turns heads
Samantha also topped the headlines on her first public outing with Raj Nidimoru after they got married. The two were seen at the Mumbai airport and it was their first outing as husband and wife.
Wearing casual but stylish attires, Samantha was in grey sweater with black trousers, whereas Raj was in a sea green T shirt, denim jacket and blue jeans. The airport videos soon went viral, and fans could see Samantha blushing and smiling when photographers took pictures of the couple. Both were seen acknowledging the paparazzi politely before heading to their car.
A new chapter on both personal and professional fronts
As Samantha balances newlywed life with one of the toughest action schedules of her career, Maa Inti Bangaram is shaping up to be a defining project for her. The movie already has fans eager to see it as it has international stunt coordination, physically challenging sequences, and she is fully dedicated to it.
December may be cold in Hyderabad, but Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s determination and work ethic are clearly running at full throttle.
