Two days after the alleged attack on Russian President Vladimir Putin’s residence, the Russian Ministry of Defence has officially released a video showing 6kg explosive charge. The attack happened on 29th December, but Ukrainian President called out these allegations ‘typical Russian lies’.

The video, shot at night in the dark, showed a damaged drone lying in snow in a forested area. The ministry said the alleged attack was “targeted, carefully planned and carried out in stages.”

The video was released in a press briefing, which challenged Kyiv’s denials that such an attack took place, Reuters reported on Thursday.

According to Ukrainian authorities, Moscow has produced no evidence to support its allegations and has invented the alleged attack to block progress at talks on ending the war in Ukraine.

Russia has not said if Vladimir Putin was home at the time of the drone attack, but said the attack was launched on the night of December 28-29 at the Russian President’s home in the Novgorod region, terming it a “terrorist attack”.
