Ayodhya: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will remain in Ayodhya for nearly three hours on November 25 to participate in the flag-hoisting ceremony at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple said Nripendra Mishra, Chairman of the Ram Temple Construction Committee. He shared details of the upcoming event during an interaction with journalists at the Circuit House.

Ceremony Details and Schedule

According to Mishra the auspicious time for the flag-hoisting ceremony has been fixed between 12:00 PM and 12:30 PM. Prime Minister Modi will visit the temple premises, observe the construction work and offer prayers to the Ram Parivar (family of Lord Ram) idols established on the first floor of the sanctum complex.

The committee has finalized the tentative plan of the Prime Minister’s visit and the detailed programme schedule will soon be sent to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) for approval.

Temple Beautification and Structural Works

Mishra stated that extensive work on beautification, plantation and architectural detailing is being undertaken within the temple complex. The construction of the museum, being developed under the guidance of IIT Chennai’s affiliate organization ‘Parivartan’ is in its final phase. The project, estimated at ₹50 crore, will document the cultural, historical and architectural evolution of the temple.

Seven Shikhars to be Adorned with Flags

On November 25, the flag-hoisting ceremony will take place simultaneously on all seven temple shikhars (spires). Experts from the Ministry of Defence are assisting the temple authorities to ensure that there are no technical difficulties during the process.

Prime Minister Modi will hoist a saffron nylon flag carrying the sacred ‘Om’ symbol, marking the spiritual and architectural culmination of the temple’s next phase of consecration.
