In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Tamannaah shared details of her everyday diet and revealed that her mornings usually start on a healthy note. She starts out her day most of the time with a nourishing smoothie bowl made of gluten free granola, dates, almond milk, banana, and berries. On other days, she varies it by eating eggs which can be poached or made as an omelette and served with lots of vegetables.

When it comes to lunch, the actress keeps it simple and comforting. Tamannaah revealed that her favorite food is dal chawal and vegetables, which she said is highly satisfying and something she enjoys a lot. She eats nuts in the early evening, at about 5.30 or 6 pm, before going to her exercise routine.

Dinner, according to Tamannaah, depends largely on her activity level. She prefers protein rich meals at night and mostly consumes eggs with vegetables. However, if she has burned a lot of calories at the gym, she does not shy away from adding more carbohydrates to her dinner. This flexible approach helps her stay energised while listening to her body’s needs.

In another interview with Slurrp, Tamannaah Bhatia revealed that her cheat meals usually include chaats, munchies, and dishes that bring back childhood memories. She admitted that one of the all time favourite foods are dal chawal and a comforting bowl of khichdi. One dish that holds a special place in her heart is kadhi chawal, something that she recalls being an ordinary Sunday comfort meal in her family home.

Growing up in Mumbai has clearly influenced Tamannaah’s love for street food. She remembered fondly how she used to appreciate the A1 samosas when she was at school and how it was a must-have classic served in theatres even today. She also mentioned that she loved the rich street food culture in Mumbai, particularly sev puri and bhel puri, which she claims she can never resist regardless of her destination.

Throughout the day, Tamannaah Bhatia likes to snack on dates, calling them a healthy and tasty option. She feels that dates are an excellent source of fibre and a perfect alternative when one feels like having a sweet snack thus, they make a better replacement of chocolates.

When it comes to beverages, Tamannaah enjoys both tea and coffee. She mentioned that coffee is part of her daily routine and she needs it to get started in the morning and be active. Meanwhile, she also loves cutting chai, as this is something that has its distinct flavor and comfort.

Tamannaah is not just a foodie but also enjoys experimenting in the kitchen. Sharing one of her favourite homemade recipes, she revealed how she once created a healthier version of chaat while on a diet. She prepared a sweet potato chaat with sweet potato tikkis as the base, topped with customary chutneys, and sprinkled it with crushed chana jor garam to give it extra crunchy. Even the recipe, she added, is on her Instagram where fans can make it at home.

Tamannaah Bhatia is enjoying another year, and her food decisions are an indicator of a wellness-meets-happiness lifestyle.
