Yash’s Toxic Trailer Likely to Drop on His 40th Birthday

Mumbai: Excitement around Toxic A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups is steadily picking up pace, and all eyes are now on Yash’s upcoming birthday. The period action thriller, directed by Geetu Mohandas, is scheduled to hit theatres on March 19, 2026, aligning with the Ugadi festival. As the promotional campaign of the film gains momentum, there are reports of a major update being only days away.

A report by Gulte notes that the makers are expected to release the trailer of Toxic on January 8, 2026, when Yash celebrates his 40th birthday. While there is no official confirmation yet, the timing has sparked excitement among fans, especially as the team has been releasing character posters one after another in recent days.

Character Posters Build a Dark Crime World

Earlier today, the makers officially introduced Tara Sutaria as Rebecca. Her first look shows her in a bold femme fatale avatar, holding a gun and exuding confidence and mystery. Prior to this, character posters of Kiara Advani as Nadia, Nayanthara as Ganga, and Huma Qureshi as Elizabeth were released, each suggesting a dark, edgy and gothic underworld in gangsters.

Even before these reveals, the team had dropped a striking poster of Yash showcasing his back muscles, instantly setting the tone and establishing his commanding screen presence. In combination, the images imply that Toxic will deal with a new world of crime and power that is gritty.

What to Expect From Toxic

Written and directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic A Fairy Tale for Grown Ups is a period action thriller mounted on a large scale. The movie, besides Yash and the leading ladies, also features Rukmini Vasanth, Akshay Oberoi, Sudev Nair, Amit Tiwari among others in major roles.

The film is being shot simultaneously in Kannada and English and will release in six Indian languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. Adding to the excitement, Ravi Basrur returns as the music composer after the massive success of the KGF films. Key action sequences have been choreographed by international action director JJ Perry, who directed the John Wick franchise, and some action sequences by the Anbarivu duo.

Looking ahead, Yash is also set to portray Raavana in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming Ramayana, co starring Ranbir Kapoor. In the meantime, fans are anticipating whether Toxic will release its trailer on the birthday of the milestone birthday of the actor that is January 8.
