Mumbai: With just days left for its theatrical release, Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri has successfully completed its censor formalities. The Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday star-streak hit the news after its massive trailer unveiling in Mumbai and the hype has only intensified, as the movie takes the first steps towards releasing in theatres this Christmas.

Tu Meri Main Tera CBFC clearance and certification

The film has been given a U/A 16+ certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification, which allowed the film to be seen by people over 16 year old with parental guidance. The censoring was done many days before and the makers had time to pack the release.

The Examining Committee proposed the following three changes prior to approving the film according to certification details. The makers had been requested to make a sexual suggestive scene in the first half of the movie shorter, which resulted in a 15-second cut. Besides this, some obscene words were silenced and deleted in the dialogue as well as subtitles. The third modification was the elimination of shortened obscene phrases in a scene in the second half. After these edits were implemented, the film was officially certified on December 15.

The censor certificate also confirms the film’s final runtime. Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri has a total length of 145.41 minutes, which translates to 2 hours, 25 minutes and 41 seconds. The length indicates that it is a full length romantic entertainer meant to attract the festive holiday audience.

Sameer Vidwans is the director of this film and he worked with Kartik Aaryan in Satyaprem Ki Katha. This project marks Kartik’s first collaboration with Dharma Productions and his second association with both Namah Pictures and Sameer Vidwans. The feature film was filmed by Karan Johar, Adar Poonawala, Apoorva Mehta and Bhumika Tewari through Dharma Productions as well as Shareen Mantri Kedia and Kishor Arora of Namah Pictures.

Tu Meri Main Tera Tera Tu Meri is slated to be released on the global scene on the Christmas of 2025 and is preparing to be one of the biggest Bollywood releases of the season. With its censor clearance done, runtime confirmed and trailer already creating curiosity, the romantic drama is now fully prepared for its big-screen arrival.
