Mumbai: According to Pinkvilla reports, Thamma starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna has opened to an impressive start, collecting an estimated ₹24 crores net on Day 1. This is an excellent start of the movie, given the mid scale cast and genre. The smart film enjoys the popularity of the proven Maddock Horror-Comedy Universe, which has already delivered hits like Stree 2 ( 600 crores net) and Munjya ( 100 crores+).

The first-day collection in the Delhi, UP, Rajasthan and Mysore circuit are strong, and the eastern region is also contributing significantly. Nevertheless, collections in Gujarat belt were below the expectations. Given its Tuesday release and six-day long Diwali weekend, Thamma has a good chance to keep the strong momentum during the festive season.
It is estimated that the movie may make ₹100 to 110 crore net over the extended weekend. Through good word of mouth, Thamma can easily reach to 120 crore mark, and in case its run remains steady, it can even be able to target the 200 crore milestone in the long run.
