Mumbai: The celebrations around Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal’s grand wedding have come to an unexpected pause. What was supposed to be a joyful weekend for the couple turned tense after Smriti’s father, Srinivas Mandhana, suddenly fell ill in Sangli. He experienced severe chest discomfort on Sunday afternoon and was rushed to a nearby hospital for immediate treatment.
Smriti Mandhana’s Father Under Observation
Doctors reported that he developed a case of angina pectoris, a disease associated with heart-related complications. He was sent to the ICU to be observed and undergo additional tests. While his ECG did not reveal any new complications, his blood pressure remained high, so the medical team decided to keep him under close watch before determining the next steps. Smriti Mandhana’s father Srinivas Mandhana is examined under the supervision of heart specialist Rohit Thanedar .
Palash Muchhal Also Briefly Hospitalised
As the family dealt with this sudden situation, another unexpected twist followed. As per the Reports of NDTV, Smriti’s fiancé, musician Palash Muchhal, also had to visit a private hospital after feeling unwell. He reportedly developed a viral infection along with acidity problems. Thankfully, his condition was not serious and after receiving treatment, he returned to the hotel and is currently stable.
The couple’s families have now decided to postpone the wedding until both sides are completely healthy and stress free. People who were looking forward to the big day started to pray and wish a fast recovery of the father of Smriti and a healthy Palash.
