Mumbai: Samantha Ruth Prabhu is ending the year on a warm and beautiful note, and fans cannot get enough of it. The actor has just posted a new series of photos of her holiday in Lisbon, Portugal to her husband Raj Nidimoru where she gives us a peep into her quiet and happy travel time. From iconic landmarks and delicious food to peaceful moments inside historic churches, Samantha’s latest travel diary feels soothing and full of joy.
A Calm European Getaway
Before Lisbon, Samantha and Raj also explored popular landmarks across Europe. The couple paid a visit to the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary in the Sanctuary of Fatima, the renowned Padrao dos Descobrimentos or the Monument to the Discoveries as well as the Arco da Rua Augusta. This was captured in one of the more intimate scenes when Raj was caught staring at a massive chocolate glazed donut, while Samantha calmly took in the surrounding views.
She captioned the post simply as “How December goes,” which perfectly summed up the relaxed mood of the trip. Fans quickly flooded the comments section with love. One user wrote, “What a cutie,” while another added, “Finally she happy and her soul got safe place.”
Lisbon Through Samantha’s Lens
The Lisbon photos by Samantha reflect an image of leisurely travelling and relaxing. In one of the close up selfies, we find her wearing a white woolen sweater and a white knit cap. Her bright smile and relaxed expression instantly reflect contentment. The simple winter look adds a cozy charm to the frame.
Another photo captures a fun food moment. Raj is seen holding a big donut topped with chocolate and nuts at a local food spot. Wearing a beige coat and a black cap, he looks smiling, which contributes to the playfulness of the album.
One of the most impressive photographs depicts Samantha sitting still in an ancient church at Lisbon. Dressed in soft neutral shades, she looks calm and reflective as she soaks in the silence and beauty around her.
Travel, Food and Fairytale Moments
The rest of the photo series captures Lisbon’s charm in detail. There are scenic street views with cobblestone roads, tall white buildings, and clear blue skies. A breakfast spread featuring croissants, avocado toast, fruits, coffee, and fresh juice highlights slow vacation mornings. In another photo, we see Samantha gazing at a pastel pink structure with flowers around it, and dressed in warm winter clothing.
Fans also spotted an iconic white historic monument, cozy café moments by the window, a lively archway filled with tourists, and even a cute carousel scene that felt straight out of a fairytale. In one of the pictures, Samantha stands in front of the seaside with the ocean waves as the background, wearing the sun glasses, scarf, and pink cap on her head. The whole atmosphere of the album is peaceful, happy, and deeply comforting.
A New Chapter Together
Samantha and Raj got married on December 1 in a highly private ceremony. The wedding came as a surprise to fans, as the couple had never publicly confirmed their relationship earlier. Samantha posted pictures of the wedding on Instagram, and the congratulatory messages overwhelmed her with both fans and industry peers. Actors Anupama Parameswaran, Nimrat Kaur, Dimple Hayathi, and many others congratulated the newlyweds with the good wishes.
Speculation about their relationship had started in early 2024 when the two were frequently spotted together at various events. They had already collaborated on Prime Video projects The Family Man Season 2 and Citadel Honey Bunny where Samantha plays the lead role and Raj is the director.
This marks the second marriage for both. Samantha was earlier married to actor Naga Chaitanya from 2017 to 2021, while Raj was previously married to Shhyamali De.
