Mumbai: Superstar Salman Khan has locked his next big project, and it promises to be a massive cinematic event. The actor entered into a contract with a high-budget action thriller with the support of a famous producer Dil Raju and directed by the National Award-winning film-maker Vamshi Paidipally.
The untitled film is in the pre-production phase and is supposed to start on the floors in April. Industry sources indicate that the project is being mounted on a grand scale, and it is meant to provide a big theatrical spectacle to audiences all over India.
Salman Khan to appear in a new avatar
According to those closer to the development, Salman was immediately attracted to the script due to its deep combination of action, emotion and commercial aspects.
Salman loved the script and the commercial ingredients that it adds to the table. It is an action thriller that is high-octane and has an emotional heart. A source informed that Salman will be introduced by Vamshi Paidipally in a totally new persona with a unique appearance and this pleased him straight away.
The movie will also have an enormous ensemble of both the South Indian and the Hindi film industry, making it a pan-India project. The producers are now negotiating with an A-list star to take up the female lead in the film but the casting information is shrouded in secrecy.
Aiming for a big 2027 release
This action thriller will be Salman Khan’s next project after his upcoming film Battle of Galwan. After he finishes his current engagements, the actor will proceed to the shoot of this big project.
Dil Raju has a reputation of supporting big entertainers and Vamshi Paidipally has a reputation of creating commercial blockbusters; therefore, the union is set to create a lot of buzz in the industry.
The makers are planning the film as a large-scale theatrical spectacle with strong pan-India appeal, and the team is currently targeting a 2027 big-screen release.
Another interesting project lined up
After wrapping up this action thriller, Salman Khan is likely to move on to another interesting project with filmmaker duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K.. The film will be produced by Mythri Movie Makers along with Reel Life Productions and is said to be a comic-action superhero film.
With multiple large-scale projects in the pipeline, Salman Khan appears set to deliver an exciting lineup for audiences over the next few years.
