Mumbai: Actor Pratibha Ranta, who impressed the viewers with her strong performance in Laapataa Ladies, is in advanced talks to join Kartik Aaryan in the upcoming fantasy-comedy Naagzilla: Naag Lok Ka Pehla Kaand (2026). According to Mid-Day and Bollywood Hungama reports, Pratibha has turned out to be the best choice for the female lead role opposite Kartik. The makers are still on the final stages of casting and an official announcement would soon follow.
About Naagzilla
Naagzilla is a Dharma productions and Mahaveer jain films production directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba the director of the Fukrey series. The movie is set to be a combination of mythological fantasy and Kartik with his characteristic timing of comedy since he is supposed to be a shape-shifting serpent who passes through the human world. The shoot began earlier this month through a traditional muhurat ceremony led by Karan Johar and the first poster has already gone viral. With its rich VFX and unusual humour, Naagzilla is likely to be one of the most ambitious movies that Kartik has ever made.

Pratibha Ranta, who received wide acclaim due to her natural and down-to-earth role in Kiran Rao directed Laapataa Ladies, appears to be on the verge of the next big thing in her career. At the same time, Kartik Aaryan will appear in Chand Mera Dil, a romantic film with Ananya Panday, and will release on April 2026. Naagzilla and Chand Mera Dil in the line, Kartik is still diversifying his filmography and the entry of Pratibha will only adds more sparkle to this much-anticipated fantasy adventure.
