Mumbai: The makers of Toxic – A Fairytale For Grown Ups have unveiled a powerful new part to the world of the movie. On December 31, Kannada superstar Yash shared the first look of Nayanthara from the much anticipated project, introducing her character Ganga. The poster instantly grabbed attention, presenting Nayanthara as a woman who is calm, fearless, and clearly in control.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is one of the most awaited films of the coming year, and with each character reveal, excitement around the project continues to grow. The appearance of Nayanthara comes after the previous introduction of Kiara Advani and Huma Qureshi and, according to the fans, it sets the bar even higher.
Nayanthara’s first look as Ganga
Sharing the poster on social media, Yash wrote, “Introducing Nayanthara as GANGA in Toxic – A Fairytale For Grown-Ups.” In the picture, Nayanthara is walking with a gun in her hand into a large doorway what appears to be a lavish casino setting. She holds a shotgun in one hand and maintains a composed, confident expression. We find two men opening the doors to her, and men are guarding her position, which is clearly defined as one of power. Dressed in a sleek black outfit with bold golden bracelets, she looks stylish yet intimidating, someone who commands respect without raising her voice.
Her styling adds layers to the character. The black outfit reflects mystery and authority, while her gloves, boots, and metallic accessories suggest she is always prepared for action. There is nothing ornamental about her appearance. All the details lead to the fact that it is a woman who makes choices and is not afraid to deal with consequences.
A commanding character in a dark world
Nayanthara’s character Ganga is said to play a crucial role in the story and is reportedly the sister of Yash’s character in the film. Previously, it was reported that the part was initially to be given to Kareena Kapoor, who declined later on because of her schedule. The role seems to have acquired even more intensity as Nayanthara comes in.
The background of the poster adds to the storytelling. Golden doors, warm lighting, and a red carpet create a rich and powerful atmosphere. The men positioned around Ganga clearly work under her command, reinforcing the idea that she holds authority in this dangerous world. The visual language explains why Toxic is not a light hearted story but a serious, adult crime drama.
Growing excitement around Toxic

Before Nayanthara’s reveal, the makers had already released Kiara Advani’s look as Nadia and Huma Qureshi’s look as Elizabeth. The three posters have all been well received by the worldwide internet community, with critics applauding the layout, costume, and general feel of the movie.
With each character introduction, Toxic – A Fairytale For Grown-Ups continues to build a world filled with power, mystery, and moral darkness. The initial appearance of Nayanthara as Ganga is graceful, audacious, and threatening, so there is no doubt that her character will not remain in the background.
