Mumbai: Kartik Aaryan is all set to team up once again with director Kabir Khan after their successful collaboration in Chandu Champion. The actor director duo is now joining hands to come up with a big sports adventure movie which is expected to call a new frontier in the genre. According to reliable sources, the upcoming project will be set against the scenic backdrop of Kashmir and will feature an ambitious production scale.
The film is being described as a one of its kind sports adventure with a high budget and extensive planning. Kartik Aaryan is dedicated to the project and will go through rigorous physical training and change to fit into his role. The film is scheduled to start filming the film in February 2026.
A Nine Month Shoot Across Real Locations
The Kabir Khan directorial is planned as a long schedule film with shooting spread over nearly nine months. The team plans to film between February and October 2026 in various real places around the globe with Kashmir being one of the major locations in the narrative. The makers are eager to achieve authenticity by shooting the films at real places, not on sets.
With such a long schedule and global locations involved, the film is being positioned as a major theatrical experience. If everything goes as planned, the sports adventure is expected to release in cinemas in 2027.
Kartik Aaryan’s Packed Line Up Ahead
Kartik Aaryan would be joining this project right after the release of Nagzilla with Dharma Productions. Besides the Kabir Khan film, the actor is already going through various scripts and planning his subsequent projects thoughtfully.
He is also keen to start work on Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4 with director Anees Bazmee in the second half of 2026. Kartik will also have to complete the remaining part of the next film by Anurag Basu sometime next year. It has also been reported that he was negotiating another feature film with Luv Ranjan which further indicates that his calendar is very full.
The next Kartik Aaryan Kabir Khan film will be an Applause Entertainment production, which will further put pressure on the project. With a strong creative team, a challenging role, and a visually rich setting, this reunion has already sparked excitement and is being seen as a potential game changer in the sports adventure space.
