Mumbai: Kartik Aaryan is all set to begin a new and exciting journey with T-Series as the production house comes on board his upcoming film, Captain India. Their previous successful collaboration have made them known and this new alliance reunites great story telling, star power and filmmaking experience.
Kartik Aaryan and T-series have released a number of box office hits over the years such as Sonu ke Titu ki Sweety, Pati Patni aur Woh, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Captain India already has a great track record so there is a big anticipation that it will be a thrilling and entertaining movie.
T-Series Joins as Producer, Shooting to Begin in 2026
According to industry sources, Captain India is written and produced by Harman Baweja, with T-Series now joining the project as a co-producer. The story, casting Kartik, and the great vision of the film were also said to have impressed the makers. The recce has been already done and the movie should hit the floors in the second quarter of 2026. The large parts of the movie will be filmed in India and Morocco.
Adding more excitement to the project is the return of Shimit Amin to direction after a long gap of 17 years. The filmmaker is known for delivering impactful and memorable films such as Ab Tak Chhappan, Chak De India, and Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year. Although Rocket Singh failed to impress in the commercial market during the time it was released, it became a cult film later. His return with Captain India has already generated a great buzz in the film circles.
Interestingly, Captain India was originally announced in 2021 with Hansal Mehta as the director, but the project has now taken a fresh turn with Shimit Amin at the helm.
Kartik Aaryan’s Packed Line-Up Ahead
Apart from Captain India, Kartik Aaryan has several exciting projects lined up. He will be seen in an untitled musical saga directed by Anurag Basu, which is being produced by T-Series and is scheduled to release in the second half of 2026. The actor is also working on Naagzilla, which is under director Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, producer of Fukrey. Also, Kartik has the next movie of Kabir Khan in his kitty and hence his schedule is one of the busiest in the Bollywood.
