Mumbai: The Golmaal franchise is ready to return with a brand new chapter, and this time, it is coming with surprises that promise to refresh the much loved comedy series. Director Rohit Shetty is gearing up for Golmaal 5, which is shaping up to be one of the most exciting films in the franchise so far. Having an inspired storyline and introducing the first female villain to the movie, the fifth instalment intends to introduce something new without disregarding the comic roots.

Original Gang Reunites Once Again

According to a report by PTI, Golmaal 5 will reunite the core group that audiences have grown to love over the years. Ajay Devgn reappears as the head of the mess and is accompanied by Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and Kunal Khemu. To top it all Sharman Joshi will also be rejoining the franchise adding a linkage back to Golmaal: Fun Unlimited, which was the starting point of the series in 2006.

The reappearance of Sharman Joshi will be a nostalgic experience to the old time fans since they had all the members of the comic circle that began the franchise close to twenty years ago.

Fantasy Comedy With a New Villain Twist

The difference between Golmaal 5 and the previous cases is the change in terms of the storytelling. An insider revealed that the upcoming film will be a fantasy comedy, indicating a move beyond the usual situational humour and prank driven chaos. This new approach will introduce a new visual and narrative layer into the franchise, introducing possibilities of more imaginative and surreal scenarios.

The other significant shift is the introduction of the first female antagonist in the franchise. Although casting of the role is under discussion, the makers have scripted the story in such a manner that makes a woman the negative role. This creative decision marks a bold step for the series, offering a new dynamic to the conflict while breaking familiar patterns.

Familiar Faces Return to Keep the Comic Soul Alive

Along with the main cast, several popular supporting actors are also expected to return. The cast of the film is likely to include Johnny Lever, Ashwini Kaleshkar, Mukesh Tiwari and Sanjay Mishra, making sure that the classic sense of humour and quirky energy of Golmaal universe is still present.

Over the years, the Golmaal films have built a loyal fan base with their over the top comedy, memorable characters and absurd situations. Golmaal 5 seems to have Rohit Shetty prepared to take things to another level as he incorporates fantasy with the mayhem that audiences can enjoy.
