Mumbai: Farhan Akhtar’s ambitious Don 3 seems to have hit a temporary pause, the filmmaker has shifted his focus Jee Le Zaraa. This is following a series of exits by Don 3 that resulted to the speculation that the film can be shelved in the meantime.

Soon after the release and success of Dhurandhar, Ranveer Singh reportedly stepped away from Don 3. Before him, Kiara Advani and Vikrant Massey had also opted out of the project. Such back to back departures caused confusion on whether the film had any future even as there was speculation that Shah Rukh Khan would reprise the role of Don, only that Atlee would join the film as director.

Farhan Akhtar turns attention to Jee Le Zaraa

Amid the ongoing chatter around Don 3, a report by Pinkvilla claims that Farhan Akhtar has decided to reinitiate conversations around Jee Le Zaraa. It is a road trip movie that features Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt, which was initially announced in 2021 and battled with date problems several times.

Farhan had earlier admitted that coordinating the schedules of the three leading ladies was extremely difficult. However, things now seem to be moving in a positive direction. Sources claim that the casting of the Don 3 part is taking its time, and this has made Farhan consider reviving a project that he loved all along, Jee Le Zaraa.

The report further states that the script is already locked and discussions with Priyanka, Katrina and Alia have resumed. The three actors are reported to be eager to participate in the film and the sole challenge is to coordinate their dates. Assuming all goes to plan, the movie might be on floors in the second half of 2026.

Ranveer Singh faces legal trouble

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh has found himself in the spotlight for reasons beyond films. An FIR has reportedly been filed against the actor for allegedly hurting religious sentiments. The complaint relates to Ranveer mimicking a scene inspired by Rishab Shetty’s Kantara during an appearance at the International Film Festival of India in Goa.

The act drew criticism online, following which Ranveer issued a public apology. On the film front, the actor will next appear in Dhurandhar 2 that is set to be released on March 19.

As Don 3 takes some time to fall into place, the whole attention is now on Jee Le Zaraa with people looking forward to seeing Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt sharing screen time in what is sure to be a refreshing movie of friendship and self discovery.
