Mumbai: Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan has revealed that Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol’s iconic romantic track “Gerua” from Dilwale was shot on a staggering budget of ₹7 crore.

According to a Pinkvilla report, Farah made this revelation during a candid vlog session with entrepreneur Ashneer Grover and his wife Madhuri. She recalled the challenges of shooting in Iceland and admitted with a laugh

Kitna mehenga hai Iceland.”

The report further mentioned that Farah highlighted how expensive Iceland turned out to be for just two actors on screen. From travel and permissions to local arrangements, every element added to the soaring budget. She also noted that while foreign locations lend unmatched grandeur to Bollywood songs, the logistical costs often reach extraordinary levels.

Even years after its release, Gerua continues to be remembered for its breathtaking visuals waterfalls, black sand beaches, and the icy landscapes of Iceland which, as Farah revealed, came at a heavy price.
