According to sources close to the production, Emraan suffered an abdominal tissue tear while filming a high energy action scene. The injury was too serious and it needed urgent medical care and this was followed by surgery where the actor had to undergo surgery. Due to the state of the injury, he was supposed to take a long leave and concentrate on the recovery.

However, Emraan surprised everyone by choosing to return to work much sooner than anticipated. According to sources, he made the decision due to a great sense of responsibility to the film, his role and the viewers who are eager to see him on screen again. The production crew is said to have changed the shooting order, and the scenes of action are restricted at present.
