Noida, November 10 (H.S.): Following the deadly car explosion near Delhi’s Red Fort on Monday evening, police across Noida and the National Capital Region (NCR) have gone on high alert. Security has been tightened at all key locations, with multiple checkpoints and intensive vehicle inspections underway.
According to officials, the Noida Police launched a massive checking operation late Monday night across busy markets, malls, metro stations, hotels, guesthouses, and major roads connecting Delhi and Noida. Special police teams have been deployed at sensitive spots to inspect suspicious vehicles and individuals.
Police Commissioner Laxmi Singh confirmed that after reports of multiple deaths in the Red Fort blast, high alert has been declared across Gautam Buddh Nagar. “Our teams are conducting round-the-clock checks at malls, transport hubs, and all border entry points. Vehicles coming in and out of Delhi are being thoroughly examined,” Singh said.
She added that anti-terror and bomb disposal units have joined the effort, while senior officials are coordinating closely with Delhi Police and other central security agencies. “Anyone found with suspicious items or behaving unusually is being detained for questioning,” she noted.
Authorities have appealed to the public to remain calm and avoid spreading rumors. “We urge citizens to immediately report any unidentified object, suspicious vehicle, or person to the nearest police station,” the commissioner said.
Security personnel from the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) and Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) are actively participating in the operations. Meanwhile, all major entry and exit points between Delhi and Noida—including DND Flyway, Kalindi Kunj, and Chilla borders—are witnessing heavy police presence as the region remains under maximum vigilance.
