Mumbai: The wedding celebrations of Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna are still in full swing, but the couple has now shared an important update about their upcoming reception in Hyderabad. The newlyweds have affirmed that the big occasion on March 4 will be invite only. This move follows an advisory by the Hyderabad police, who were security conscious because of their large number of people following their wedding.
Since February 26, when Vijay and Rashmika knotted their knots in a gorgeous and intimate wedding of Udaipur, they have been showered with love by fans all over the country. Their marriage turned into one of the most discussed celebrity events of the year. Excited to the max, the couple agreed to abide by police instructions and make the celebration intimate and strictly managed.
Reception to Follow Strict Security Guidelines
The couple, in a press press statement, admitted the enormous amount of affection and attention they have gotten. They said that in consideration of safety, they will only allow invited guests to attend the reception. The statement clearly stated that only the people who will be carrying official invitations will be allowed entry and the fans that do not have the passes are asked to stay out of the venue.
The note also said that both the couple and authorities are working closely to ensure that the celebration takes place smoothly without any safety issues. Hyderabad police have advised strict crowd management and tighter security arrangements to avoid large gatherings, traffic disruptions, and potential risks. As a result, the guest list has been further restricted.
The reception will be a special event involving the invitation of few representatives of the Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada film industries. Together with them, notable political and administrative personalities have also been invited. But since there is such enormous hype among fans, the couple chose to make the event confidential and secure.
The statement added that if required, additional receptions may be organised at a later stage so that more well-wishers can celebrate with them in a controlled and secure manner.
Vijay and Rashmika also shared a heartfelt message for their fans, thanking them for the endless love and blessings. They asked everyone to observe the security measures and collaborate with the law enforcement. The couple emphasized that the well-being and security of their fans are everything to them, and fans should be able to comprehend their choice.

The star couple got married in a private yet high-profile ceremony in Udaipur, Rajasthan. The wedding featured two beautiful rituals. One ceremony followed traditional Telugu customs to honour Vijay’s roots, while the other celebrated Rashmika’s Coorg heritage through Kodava traditions. Only close family members and select friends from the film industry attended the events.
