New Delhi: Sunjay Kapur’s family members remembered him in their own special ways on his birth anniversary, even as the legal battle over his estate continues.
1. Karisma Kapoor
Karishma Kapoor (Sunjay’s Ex Wife) shared a heartfelt post on Instagram from her kids, Samaira and Kiaan, showing a cake with the words “Happy Birthday, Dad” written on it, along with a white heart emoji. Kareena Kapoor, Karisma’s sister, reshared the story and wrote, “My Samu and Kiu dad is protecting you always and forever.”
2. Priya Sachdev
Priya Sachdev also posted on Instagram, shared a touching video, which featured family photos and videos of Sunjay, as well as the snaps of the kids of Karisma. Her note opened with a Bhagavad Gita verse and she talked of how Sunjay lived by them silently through his kindness and bravery. Priya said that she continues to experience his presence around her and she referred to him as a man who loved without any motive or remuneration.
3. Mandhira Kapur Smith
Sunjay’s sister, shared her own post remembering him. She wrote about their childhood, family life, and described Sunjay as “larger than life.” Her tribute mentioned Karisma’s children but did not include Priya, which many people online saw as a subtle dig at her.
Will these posts post bring peace in the Sunjay Kapur case?
Through such emotional posts the court case concerning the will of Sunjay is ongoing. Karisma has children (Samaira and Kiaan) who have accused Priya of having forged the will of their father. They indicated spelling errors and even indicated that the will addresses Sunjay as a female wrongly. Priya has replied that the will is not fake due to these little mistakes. The legal battle is surrounding an estate which is said to be worth in the tune of 30,000 crore.
