New Delhi: TVS Motor Company has officially confirmed the launch date for its highly anticipated adventure motorcycle, the TVS Apache RTX 300. The brand’s first foray into the adventure-tourer segment is set to make its debut in the Indian market on October 15, 2025. This launch is poised to shake up the category, taking direct aim at established players like the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and the KTM 250 Adventure.

Anticipation for the motorcycle has been building for months, fueled by numerous sightings during its testing phase, which have revealed key details about its design and capabilities.

Potent Engine and Performance

At the heart of the TVS Apache RTX 300 is a new 299.1cc RT-XD4, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This powerhouse is tuned to produce a substantial 35 bhp of power and 28.5 Nm of peak torque. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox featuring a slip-and-assist clutch for smooth gear transitions. These performance figures position the RTX 300 as one of the most powerful contenders in its class.

Purpose-Built for Adventure

The Apache RTX 300 has been engineered as a semi-faired adventure tourer, designed to be as capable on long highway journeys as it is on light off-road trails.

  • Suspension: The bike is equipped with premium gold-finished USD (Upside-Down) forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear to handle varied terrains.
  • Wheels and Tires: It will ride on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheel setup, shod with tubeless, dual-purpose tires.
  • Braking: For confident stopping power, the motorcycle will come standard with disc brakes on both wheels, governed by a dual-channel ABS.
  • Other Features: The RTX 300 is expected to be packed with modern technology, including twin LED headlights, a tall windscreen for wind protection, knuckle guards, and a TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity. Advanced features may also include turn-by-turn navigation, multiple ride modes, and traction control.

Expected Price and Competition

While TVS has not yet announced the official pricing, industry experts speculate that the Apache RTX 300 will carry an ex-showroom price tag between ₹2.50 lakh and ₹2.80 lakh.

Upon its launch, the motorcycle will enter a fiercely competitive segment, locking horns with the KTM 250 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, Suzuki V-Strom SX 250, and the Yezdi Adventure. With this launch, TVS is strategically positioned to capture a significant share of the rapidly growing sub-300cc adventure motorcycle market in India.
