The filming is then shifted to the Mehboob Studios in Mumbai, where the makers have constructed elaborate indoor sets spread over three floors. Most of the drama and family scenes will be shot there in a continuous block by the production team in an attempt to maintain the emotional flow of the story. According to Midday reports, it is planned to finish approximately 80 percent of the film at Mehboob and leave a handful of outdoor scenes to be finished later and to complete the schedule by January 2026.
Yeh Prem Mol Liya combines the family sensitivity that Sooraj Barjatya has always had in his film with a more contemporary approach to relationships. The movie features Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari in the lead roles. Anupam Kher, Seema Pahwa, and Supriya Pathak are expected provide the emotional load and comic coziness to the story. According to insiders, Sooraj Barjatya is experimenting with the modern theme of love and marriage without abandoning the melodious songs and family values that viewers identify with his films.
Sources close to the production told that the determination to shoot the majority of the movie run in a single studio is to keep continuity, both physically and emotionally, among the movie, and to allow the actors to remain in their characters. The intricate sets and the extensive dance scenes point to the fact that Barjatya is out to make a festive, family-oriented film that will be sensitive to modernity and history at the same time.
Sooraj Barjatya appears to be prepared to present another warm-hearted story with Yeh Prem Mol Liya, only with a fresh cast and a contemporary take on love. The movie is based on a classic film but in a new spirit that the fans of both the director and Ayushmann Khurrana can look forward to.
