Mumbai: Bollywood fans have finally got a reason to celebrate, the next romantic comedy Tu Meri Main Tera, Main Tera Tu Meri starring Ananya Panday & Kartik Aaryan has been moved up to release on 25 December 2025 (Thursday), instead of its previously announced date. The makers announced it today, which means that the movie will hit the theatres on Christmas.
The film brings together Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, who last shared screen in Pati Patni Aur Woh (2019), and introduces them in new roles. Kartik acts as “Ray” and Ananya as Rumi. Directed by Sameer Vidwans, Karan Johar is producing the film under the Dharma Production company banner, which adds more weight to the high expectations of the movie.
Although the plot details are still under wrap, promotional content and first look posters have hinted at exotic locations and a desire to have fun with a backdrop of traveling and change. The settings are said to be European and Kartik is even seen giving sneak previews of his makeover and the crew verifies a major shooting schedule in Croatia. The movie is reported to target wide family acceptance, holiday-season buzz and the Kartik-Ananya pairing.
The decision to shift the release to 25 December puts the film in a valuation sweet-spot of the long holiday weekend, the Christmas and New Year holiday period, and fewer competing releases. According to analysts, this is a tactic to reach as many as possible, sell tickets and create word-of-mouth before the week of Valentines.

The last time Ananya Pandaywas seen in Kesari Chapter 2, where she appeared with Akshay Kumar and R. Madhavan. She will appear next with Lakshya in Chand Mera Dil. Kartik Aaryan, on the other, last appeared in the blockbuster horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. He will then feature in the next movie of Anurag Basu with Sreeleela.
