Ranbir Kapoor's 'Ramayana: Part One' garners over Rs. 100 crore in presales and secures anti-piracy measures before its November 5 release.
As anticipation builds for the release of ‘Ramayana: Part One’, the film has already made headlines by surpassing Rs. 100 crore in presales globally, just a day before its official release on November 5, 2026. The film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari and featuring a star-studded cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Yash, and Sai Pallavi, has generated significant buzz in both domestic and international markets.
According to reports from Pinkvilla, the film has accumulated approximately Rs. 111 crore in advance ticket sales, with a fairly even split between domestic and overseas markets. In India, the film has grossed around Rs. 57 crore, while international markets have contributed Rs. 54 crore (approximately USD 5.70 million). The sales are expected to surge further as the release date approaches, potentially reaching Rs. 150 crore.
Despite the pre-Diwali effect impacting sales in India, the film is still on track for a robust opening weekend. The Hindi version alone is projected to earn between Rs. 55-60 crore nett on its opening day, with additional earnings expected from dubbed versions in Kannada and Telugu.
In a related development, the Bombay High Court has granted the film comprehensive anti-piracy protection ahead of its release. As reported by Bollywood Hungama, the court issued a dynamic ad-interim injunction to prevent unauthorized recording and distribution of the film. This legal measure comes after Godpower Media Private Limited, which holds the film’s intellectual property rights, expressed concerns over potential copyright violations.
The court acknowledged the significant financial investment in the project, estimated at Rs. 2,000 crore for the first part alone, and the potential for substantial losses due to piracy. The injunction allows for swift action against any infringing content that may arise online, ensuring that the film’s release is protected from illegal distribution.
With its impressive presales and legal safeguards in place, ‘Ramayana: Part One’ is poised for a successful debut in cinemas worldwide, marking a significant moment in Indian cinema.
