Alia Bhatt Launches ‘Eternal Kids’ on Her Birthday; Announces Three Heartwarming Story Projects for Children

Alia Bhatt expands Eternal Sunshine Productions with a new kids content division called Eternal Kids. The actor announces three storytelling projects inspired by family memories and Ed-a-Mamma.

Mumbai: Actor and producer Alia Bhatt has unveiled an exciting new chapter for her production company Eternal Sunshine Productions. On the occasion of her 33rd birthday, the actor announced a dedicated children’s storytelling initiative titled Eternal Kids, a creative space focused on imaginative and meaningful content for young audiences.

Posting the news on social media, Alia has exposed the fans that the new section already has three projects in progress. She wrote to introduce the initiative that Eternal Sunshine Productions has recently given birth to a new branch of creativity that would venture into tales based on childhood memories and imagination.

In her touching speech, the actor explained the concept of the venture as a place where the child that we remember meets the child that we had that lives silently within us.

Stories inspired by family memories

One of the first projects under the Eternal Kids banner is a story titled There’s C and G and M, which is inspired by characters and stories created by Alia’s grandfather. The actor shared that these tales were a big part of her childhood and that she and her sister Shaheen Bhatt grew up listening to them.

Remembering her grandfather while announcing the project, Alia said that the stories hold a special place in her heart and she is thrilled to bring them to a wider audience. She also wrote an emotional note saying she misses her “Grandpaa.”

The OOLANGOO is another developmental project that is a unique story by the mother of Alia Soni Razdan. The actor says that the plot of the story is based on a strange creature so strange that her mother had to come up with a totally new word when telling the story.

The third project will extend the Adventures of Ed-a-Mamma children book, based on the Alia sustainable kidswear label Ed-a-Mamma. The production house is currently strategizing the idea into a series and is also considering more books using the same universe.

Fans celebrate the new venture

The announcement quickly drew warm reactions from fans online. Many praised the actor for exploring storytelling for children and congratulated her on the new initiative. Comments on social media described the idea as cute, thoughtful and exciting, while several fans also wished her on her birthday.

Besides Eternal Kid, there is another film Alia and her sister Shaheen Bhatt are working on called Don’t Be Shy. Sreeti Mukeri will be the screenwriter and director of the next Prime Video Original film.

The movie narrates the life of Shyamili “Shy” Das, a 20 year old lady who feels that she has her life all planned out. But her neatly planned world starts collapsing when something takes everything out of tune. The cast and additional information about the film are still not disclosed.

Alia Bhatt’s upcoming film

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt is preparing for the release of her next big screen project Alpha. The film is the seventh instalment in the YRF Spy Universe and will feature an ensemble cast including Sharvari, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol.

Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha is scheduled to release in theatres on July 10. With Eternal Kids now added to her creative journey, Alia Bhatt continues to expand her presence in cinema not only as an actor but also as a storyteller and producer.
