Mumbai: As the release date of Dhurandhar: The Revenge comes closer, excitement around the film is reaching new heights. The spy action sequel starring Ranveer Singh in the lead has already captured the interest with its impactful teaser and impressive poster. Of course, fans are looking forward to the official trailer.
In the past few days, several reports claimed that the trailer would drop on March 3, 2026, which also happens to be Holi. However, that buzz has now been put to rest.
No Trailer Launch on Holi
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh came out to X to clear the air. He talked directly to the production house of the film, Jio Studios, and stated that the trailer will not be made available on March 3. He stated clearly that the makers have never made any official announcement about a Holi launch.
According to his post, the production banner has assured that they will announce the trailer release date when they are ready. Until then, fans are advised to wait for official confirmation instead of believing circulating reports.
With less than two weeks left for the film’s release, the curiosity around the trailer has only increased. The makers are expected to reveal the official date very soon.
Massive Hype in India and Overseas for Dhurandhar
The film directed by Aditya Dhar is a follow-up to the mega-blockbuster Dhurandhar that earned more than Rs 1300 crore globally. That huge success has established very high expectations of the second part.
In the film, Ranveer Singh reappears as Hamza, or Jaskirat Singh Rangi, an Indian spy dispatched into Lyari, the treacherous criminal underworld in Karachi, to eliminate terror networks that have been involved in attacks in India.
The buzz is not limited to India. In the United States, a limited time pre sale for advance tickets began as February ended. By March 1, the film had reportedly earned nine times more in advance sales than Toxic, which is also scheduled to release on March 19.
Having such impressive initial figures and astronomical expectations, Dhurandhar: The Revenge is obviously one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Everyone is now awaiting the makers to release the trailer finally and provide the fans with a better peep of this high stakes spy thriller.
