The actress was recently present at a special event organized by luxury beauty brand Lancôme, during which she was announced as the first-ever Indian brand ambassador. Calling the moment “full circle”, Sonam marked the milestone with a look that blended luxury, restraint and maternity elegance effortlessly.
A Sculptural Gown That Celebrated Motherhood
During the event, Sonam Kapoor chose a deep navy blue velvet gown from Maison Alaïa. The off-shoulder design drew attention to her décolletage, while the fitted sleeves added balance and structure. The silhouette was close-fitting and gently skimmed her baby bump, celebrating her pregnancy rather than concealing it.
The gown extended into a floor-length skirt that brought in subtle drama without feeling overwhelming. The Alaïa velvet gown came from a recent collection and was priced at $7,450, which is approximately Rs 6.8 lakh. Despite its luxury price tag, the design remained clean and understated. The dress was subtly worked in at the waist, and flowed smoothly over her growing bump, enhancing her pregnancy glow in a polished and sophisticated way.
Jewellery, Hair and Makeup Kept Effortlessly Elegant
The jewellery Sonam Kapoor used made her look classy without drowning the look. She was wearing earrings of sparkling sapphire with a statement ring to match them, with just the right amount of colour and shine.
