Mumbai: The makers of Vadh are ready to pull viewers back into a world of moral conflict and dark secrets with Vadh 2. The film is written and directed by Jaspal Singh Sandhu, produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg under the Luv Films banner, and is set to be released in theatres nationwide on February 6, 2026. Ahead of its release, the trailer has been dropped and it promises a gripping and unsettling cinematic experience.
A darker story unfolds behind prison walls
The trailer of Vadh 2, which runs for a little over two minutes, sets the tone right from the start. Sanjay Mishra is regarded as Shambhunath Mishra, a man who always attempts to be one step ahead of the police. The story then turns to the character of Neena Gupta, Manju Singh who is already serving a jail sentence but is closely associated to the crimes happening in her surroundings.
Set largely within a prison, the film explores secret meetings, hidden motives, and the psychological weight of guilt and justice. The trailer hints at a missing inmate named Keshav, whose cruel and inhumane behavior shocks those around him. His disappearance, which happens suddenly, initiates an investigation conducted by the inspector, Ateet Singh, who is portrayed by Sanjay Mishra as a police officer. The makers intelligently keep the suspense intact by not telling the truth behind the fate of Keshav.
Familiar faces and a strong ensemble cast of Vadh 2
Vadh 2 brings back the powerful pairing of Sanjay Mishra and Neena Gupta, whose performances were widely appreciated in the first film. This time about they have a powerful supporting cast featuring Kumud Mishra and Shilpa Shukla, and young actors Amitt K Singh, Akshay Dogra and Yogita Bihani. Each character appears to add layers to the mystery and emotional tension hinted at in the trailer.
Unlike a direct continuation, the film is a spiritual sequel to Vadh. It adds new characters, a new environment, and an entirely new crime but maintains the dark mood and ethical concerns that characterized the first. The Luv Films presentation also points to the emotional conflict and psychological drama that the audiences will be able to watch on the big screen next month.
With its haunting visuals, intense performances, and a storyline rooted in justice and human darkness, Vadh 2 is shaping up to be one of the most intriguing crime thrillers of early 2026. The film will release in theatres across India on February 6.
