Mumbai: Kannada superstar Yash is all set to take a surprising new turn in his career. The actor has no intention of going back to the blockbuster KGF franchise at least in the near future, after completing his next film Toxic. Rather, Yash is preparing to move to the camera and enter the world of a director.

A New Chapter After Toxic

A source close to the actor states that Yash was thoroughly engaged in the process of producing Toxic, and he was with director Geetu Mohandas at each point. Yash contributed to the creative process of the film making, virtually being a co-director, making decisions of vital sequences.

Yet, even though the actor has been extensively involved, he has decided to credit all the essentials to Geetu Mohandas who he described as the rightful director of the project. He is reported to view himself as a mere technician in the team with a tendency to learn and improve with every experience.

Yash to Direct His Next Film

This hands-on experience seems to have inspired the actor to take the plunge into direction. Sources reveal that his next film is likely to be directed by him. He already has a concept in mind but wants to speak about it only after Toxic releases. The move marks a major shift in his journey, as he prepares to explore storytelling from a completely new perspective.

Although the fans will be disappointed about his absence in the KGF universe, insiders indicate that Yash wishes to concentrate on creative development and new challenges. The fact that he chose to leave the franchise and venture into direction shows that he wants to grow out of his screen persona.

Toxic is on the verge of release and his directorial intentions are taking shape, so it appears Yash is entering a new phase that is very exciting and will possibly redefine his legacy in Indian cinema.
